Sunday is here. I had a great workout this morning. Carrie introduced me to drop sets today and they were KILLER! I tried to write down my HIIT workout on a sheet of paper afterwards and could barely make it legible.
For those of you who don’t know, a drop set is 3 sets of the same exercise done right after each other with no rest. The first set is 8 reps, then 10 reps, then 12. You will use 5-10 lbs less on each set as you increase the reps. (example: 20 lbs, 15 lbs, 10 lbs)
I did 4 different exercises and each of them varied on the amount of weight I could do. It was really tough. I am proud that I pushed through it and I sure was happy that it was pretty empty at the gym today so I could really take my time.
I left the gym and went to pick up my husband from his last long run before the Boston Marathon next weekend.
It was such a beautiful day out – I think FINALLY spring is starting to show its face in Erie, Pennsylvania. The winter months suck here, but I have to say during the spring and summer it can get really beautiful.
I have a lot of prepping to do tonight between food and workouts this week. To make sure I stay on my food journal I will be attempting to post what I eat every day on the blog for this week. I won’t keep this up forever, but I think that by holding myself accountable through the blog will help my get myself on track.
This is going to be a very busy week, but I am more than ready to make sure I succeed! I am also really excited to travel to Boston with Wes this weekend. It is always such a special place and trip for us!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
