I forgot how much I LOVE morning workouts. I wish I was more of a morning person. If I worked out every morning during the week my alarm would need to be set for about 5:15-5:30.

Fortunately for me I work weird hours today and didn’t have to be in until 10:30 this morning (but I was working until almost 8:00).  

It was a beautiful morning here. The weather has decided to drop about 10 degrees so when I headed out the door it was 60. I actually put on 3 layers – a tank top, long sleeve light shirt, and light jacket.  I have this thing about when I run that I WANT to sweat.  I didn’t sweat that much but at least it was a bit more than if I hadn’t worn that 3rd layer.

I did a total of 5.03 miles.  I tried my best to relax and just go with it and I ended up averaging an 8:58 pace which is actually quite quick for me!

It took me about 45 minutes and then I came home and did a 25 minute weight routine. We have a set or free weights so since I knew I couldn’t make it to the gym today I want to make sure I got it in.

I did:

Bicep Curls 3 x 8
Tricep Overhead Extension 3 x 10
Goblet Squats 3 x 15

It was quick and easy but it helped get me going for the morning.

I am actually going to be going for another early morning tomorrow, but even earlier! I have a normal schedule so that means I need to be up and going by 5:15. Do you think I can do it?

I’ll be sure to let you all know! Hoping I am able to drag my butt out of bed.

Finally, here is a picture of my dinner at 8:00 at night. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I decided oatmeal, glutamine, cinnamon, and bananas sounds good! Hopefully the glutamine will help my legs to be ready in the A.M.!
