Total Weekly Recap:
Workout Days – 4
Rest Days – 3
I did have a few more rest days this week due to the fact that I don’t have access to a pool to get in non-weight bearing workouts. I try to take it slower and be much more careful without that.
Saturday’s workout was done at my parent’s gym.
I was going to walk outside, but when the parents and my husband headed to the gym I decided to tag along.
I started off with 45 minutes walking beside Wes. I didn’t have any leg pain and I took it easy.
I really loved being on the treadmill today, I don’t know why but it just felt nice to be back at the gym on a treadmill. It’s all mental sometimes.
After some ab work and a few weights I finished it out with 20 minutes on the Arc Trainer.
I did notice some tightness in my leg (I guess that is the best way to describe it) so today will without a doubt be a rest day.
We are heading to my in-laws today and then will start another round of interviews on Monday afternoon.
I think it is an understatement when I say I miss these faces:
I worry about them about as much as a mother worries about her child. Our dog is staying with a friend but the cats are home alone with someone checking on them.
I hope they are having a blast, but I look forward to seeing their smiley faces again soon!
November is National Adoption Month.
As I have mentioned before, both my brother and myself were adopted at a very young age.
I have the best parents in the world, but will always be forever grateful to my biological mother for giving me this amazing gift of family and for being so brave at just 15 years old.
Adoptions is an amazing thing for so many families and there are so many children out there looking for families.
It will always have a special place in my heart, and that is why I wanted to share.
Do you know anyone or have you yourself been touched by adoption in some way?
How were your workouts this week?
I’ve heard a bunch of people talk about that Arc Trainer – is it so different from say an elliptical??
People that choose to adopt are seriously special individuals! You’re so lucky that you have such a wonderful family – everything happens for a reason, right? 🙂

I think it is a little easier on my knees and legs on the arc trainer BUT I did find this link which gives some information:

Adoption is a wonderful thing! I know it is not for everyone but I wanted to get it out there as much as I could 🙂
Great!! Thanks for the info Sara 🙂
Glad you’re taking it easy, and enjoying your time away (even though you miss your babies!). Good luck to Wes this week!
Mister and I wanted to expand our family and worked very close with our CAS years ago to foster-adopt. While our social worker and office were great we ran into some reluctance from other agencies to place a child with a military family because Mister was gone often. After a while we were both getting very discouraged and opted to contact a fertility clinic to see what options they could give up. Long story short … we started treatment in 2005 and Little came along in August 2007.
I think adoption is such a wonderful thing. My cousin was adopted and he has really flourished with my aunt and uncle. I know they feel lucky to have him.
Aww that is such a great story! Thank you for sharing 🙂 Yes, adoption is a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL thing!
