I am going to try this two post a day thing for a little while and see how it works.
My main post will be in the morning and then I’ll bring something smaller and fun in the afternoon. Who knows just trying something new! 🙂
Earlier I mentioned my 1 hour and 40 minute spinning workout yesterday.
It was a great workout and really got my heart rate up and made me sweat like crazy, which is exactly what I was going for!
I knew that if I was going to get through a long workout on the spin bike I needed to incorporate intervals.
Here is what I came up with:
Please note: You will want to adjust the resistance levels to something that is challenging for you. I have played around on the spin bike and a 8 resistance is about the max my leg can handle right now without causing issues. Most people will need to up these resistance levels in order to get the best workout for YOUR body.
I found that just like with the treadmill, once you hit that hour mark the rest of the time passes quickly. That is the main reason that once you finish the first set of intervals you are already at 55 minutes. The hardest part is already done.
I suggest you have a towel and a bottle of water with you when doing this. I was amazed and just how quickly all my water disappeared!

Do you enjoy spinning?
If you do this workout, let me know what you think!
I love spinning! My favorite spin teacher is in her 60’s and she puts the hurt on worse than any instructor I have ever been to. Such an inspiration!
That is an inspiration! How awesome!
Looks like such a good workout! I don’t get bored at all in spin class, but I do get bored on a bike alone if I don’t have a TV/ magazine/ something. So this leads me to believe that I’m just not varying the intensity enough – this workout would be a great guide!
Yes spinning by yourself is very hard! Varying the intensity really does help! Hope you enjoy it!
Love the idea of a second quickie post – looks like a fun workout. Because I love biking I don’t get bored on any sort of bike, so long as I have music when on an exercise bike, anyway 🙂
I can’t say I LOVE biking it seems to be more a means to an end for me right now! I am still playing around with the 2nd post. I am considering doing two a day Monday-Thursday and then one on the weekends. We will see how it plays out 🙂
