This week is flying by. So quick that I don’t even have time to get the things done on my “to do” list each night! I keep plugging away at it in hopes that eventually I will get caught up.
My husband has to work a lot of the weekend, so I have a feeling that I will be doing a lot of catch up then! Aside from being tired when I get home at the end of the day, another reason I like to have my run done is because I want to be able to have time to cook dinner. Sometimes it is the only real time my husband and I have together in a day.
We won’t always be as fortunate to be home at the same time for dinner, so when we are I want to take full advantage of it! Even though I’d love to cook elaborate meals, I just don’t have the time. I’ve found a few good go-to recipes but when I heard about these InnovAsian Cuisine frozen meals I figured I’d give it a shot!
To be honest I have never been a huge fan of frozen meals, in fact they remind me of eating like complete garbage when I was in college. However, I figured since I haven’t had a frozen meal in 5 to 6 years it was time to give them a shot again.
I picked up 3 different flavors while at the store last week:
I chose: Red Curry Sauce with Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai and Shrimp Paid Thai. They also have several other flavors which you can see here.
The other night when I got home from work we were on a time crunch, so I decided it was the perfect time to try out one of these quick meals!
Since my husband is a huge fan of all foods that are spicy, I opted to make the Red Curry Sauce with Chicken first. It looked like something he would order at a restaurant.
When your first take the meal out of the box you notice three bags. There is a bag of frozen chicken, frozen veggies and then the sauce.
The instructions are pretty simple. Put the sauce bag in hot water to warm up and then combine all three of the items in the microwave for 4-5 minutes.
I was a little worried that it could be too spicy for my taste, so I decided to do things a little differently and heat up the chicken and veggies by themselves and then warm up the sauce on the side so we could each use the amount that we wanted.
It took exactly 4 minutes for my veggies and chicken to become warm and tender and ready to go!
The sauce ended up being DELICIOUS, but it was quite spicy so I was glad I didn’t dump it entirely over the food. Wes used a lot more than me but really enjoyed the flavor!
The one thing I will have to say about it these if you really need to eat the entire package by yourself. It was not near enough dinner and afterwards I ended up making some pasta and veggies and having a second dinner to make sure we had enough.
The veggies were surprisingly tender and tasty. It had much more flavor than anything I have tried in the past. If you really want to give it a kick it up a notch and you are a spicy food lover, try adding some red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to it. My husband really loved it! These were much better than any previous frozen meal I had tried back in college.
Dinner is a really special time for us, and even though I can’t always cook up an elaborate meal the time we spend together after a long day is priceless! These are delicious meals that are quick and ready to eat in less than 10 minutes. Perfect for the nights when you are on a time crunch but still want to have your family time at the table!

What is your favorite go-to quick meal?
Do you ever eat any type of frozen meals?
love red curry!
I have not tried those products, but I try to keep a couple emergency freezer items like that in the fridge for when I have no time to figure out dinner. I’ll have to try these!
Burgers or salmon are my quick go-to meals because I will just cook them and put them on spinach or greens. It also helps to have sweet potatoes or rice already pre-cooked. I do not really buy any frozen meals so I am always on the look-out for time saving tips.
Breakfast for dinner is always my quick go to!
