I love running shoes. Let me rephrase that, I really really love running shoes. All kinds. I am not partial to one brand, in fact I like to try out various brands. I have my favorites of course, but at the end of the day if it’s a running shoe I’ll give it a try! You never know the gyms you can find.
On top of that, I really love running clothes. I don’t particularly love shopping (I’m just not patient enough sometimes) but when it comes to running clothes I can’t say no!
I was recently given the opportunity to try out a new Puma shoe and apparel and was beyond excited!
Let’s start with the shoes. I have worn these probably 10-15 times since I originally got them. I have been in desperate need of new trainers, and these just came at the perfect time!
Going into this I owned nothing by Puma. It wasn’t by choice, I have just never really seen much around my area for the brand.
The Puma Ignite is their most responsive running shoe. Here are some of the features of this shoe:
- Energy Return: Full length IGNITED foam midsole’s PU blend offers high rebound cushioning.
- Step in Comfort: IGNITE foam provides instant comfort where you need it most.
- Long-Last Performance: ForeverFoam is used in the heel to disperse impact and provide extra durability.
Reading about them sounded great! How did they actually perform?
The first thing I noticed was that they were extremely comfortable. Most of my trainers had become worn down and I forgot just how nice properly padded shoes can feel.
The ForeverFoam lives up to its hype and is extremely response to my foot. I’ve had shoes in the past that were padded but that weren’t responsive and it felt very hard on my foot. I could feel the shoe responding with each stride, which speaks huge for an everyday trainer!
I’ve also noticed that the shoes seem to be very durable and show very little wear after 10-12 runs. This isn’t always the case with running shoes.
The Puma Ignite were the perfect trainers and came at the perfect time. I really look forward to wearing them during my training!
If you’ve read the blog for a while, you may have noticed you rarely see me running in T-shirts. I’m more of a tank top kind of girl.
I was a little skeptical when this Puma Pure Fitted Tee showed up. Most t-shirts I have tried in the past have problems riding up during a run and never seem to fit me like I would like, so I’ve avoided them.
I took a bit of a risk and wore this shirt out on a 14 mile run one Saturday. The first thing I noticed when I put it on was how light and airy it was.
The sleeves are slightly longer than a cap sleeve but not your normal t-shirt length which was really nice. Even better, the shirt was the perfect length – slightly longer in the back and never road up.
Here are a few details about the shirt:
- CoolCELL highly functional materials draw sweat away from your skin while anatomically placed air-flow features offer you superior temperature regulation
- Mesh insert for improved air circulation at critical heat zones
- Flatlock seams for less friction and higher comfort
- Cleansport NXT finish to ensure odor control on an organic base
- 92% polyester, 8% spandex
I can’t say enough good things about this shirt! It’s light, airy, and the perfect fit for every run! I will be using this a lot during the summer.
If you haven’t given Puma a chance when it comes to running shoes and apparel yet, I highly suggest heading over and checking them out! I was skeptical at first but am amazed at just how great both these items turned out to be!
Have you ever tried any Puma running apparel?
