This post was written through a campaign with SweatPink. All opinions are my own.

It’s no secret that I love my compression gear. I’ve used it for years to help aid in recovery during marathon training and every day running. I am a firm believer that it helped me significantly recover from one run to the next, especially on the days before I had a hard workout on schedule.

Compression gear has been shown to aid in:

  • Reducing recovery time
  • Keeps muscles warm
  • Reduce impact to muscles
  • Wicking away sweat

Needless to say, compression has always been important to me when it comes to running and recovery.

There are a variety of compression gear and companies on the market, and today I want to share with you about SKINS.

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a product from their SKINS DNAmic line. I’ve had a huge need recently of a good quality sports bra so when I saw the DNAmic Women’s Speed Crop on their site I knew I wanted to give it a try!

As the market is quickly becoming saturated by compression gear companies, but my first question was what really makes SKINS different? It is just going to be just like the other compression I have tried? As a runner, these are important questions to ask.

Here are just a few of the items that set SKINS apart:

  • SKINS A400 and DNAmic ranges are the only high performance apparel to take into account compression levels needed to increase oxygen delivery to active muscles while in motion.
  • SKINS gradient compression has been engineered to provide the correct level of surface pressure to specific parts of the body. This helps to enhance circulation and gets more vital oxygen to your active muscles.
  • The fabric in SKINS is warp knitted using multiple fine quality yarns to give superior performance. Warp knit fabrics do not have a natural stretch, instead, the spandex mix ensure specific levels of elasticity and controlled compression.
  • Memory MX fabric contains a unique high stretch elastomeric yarn – which returns to its original shape no matter how much stress you put it under. This means that you will get the same amount of compression on day one as you will 1 year later.

As I mentioned above I tried out the DNAmic Women’s Speed Crop because I’ve been in dire need of a new sports bra. As they describe on their site:

“With medium impact support and smooth elastic straps that won’t dig into your shoulders, the SKINS DNAmic Crop Top is built to take the discomfort and distraction out of your workout.  The DNAmic crop top provides all the support you need to stay cool. Calm, and collected from warm up to warm down.”

I love the feeling and it has quickly grown to become one of my favorite sports bras in rotation. You can tell it is really made and geared towards athletes due to its increased support. Let’s face it, during pregnancy I need this even more.

It survived runs on the treadmill and runs outdoors. It keeps the  moisture away and helps to keep me cool which can be a big problem during the extremely hot summer months.
