I’ve been a fan of adidas clothing for a long time. In fact, their shoes have been a part of my shoe line up for the last 2-3 years of marathon training.

I was first introduced to their shoes during my Chicago training for 2015 and fell in love with the comfortable yet light feel pretty quickly.

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a few more adidas running products and review them with my honest opinion.

ULTRABOOST X

Starting off with the shoes because they are always my favorite!

The ULTRABOOST X are a neutral running shoe.

  • adidas Primeknit upper wraps the foot in adaptive support and ultralight comfort
  • Boost is their most responsive cushioning ever. The more energy you give the more you get back.
  • STRETCHWEB rubber outsole flexes underfoot for an energized ride.
  • Dynamic arch for adaptive fit.
  • Contintental Rubber outsole for extraordinary grip in wet and dry conditions.

Weight: 8.3 ounces

The shoes themselves have a built in liner to wear without socks. I’ve always been a little hesitant to not wear socks with shoes because of blisters. I wore these shoes both ways: with and without socks. While they are more comfortable without socks and didn’t cause any blisters I still prefer to add a thin sock layer. That is completely my preference and can be worn fine without socks.

The outer Primeknit layer wraps your foot tightly. There is no extra room and it molds to your foot completely. It was a little tight at first but I didn’t notice it once I started running. I absolutely loved the cushion and even though they were a light shoe they still provided great support during my runs.

I’ve worn the shoes on the treadmill and outside to get a full idea for how they feel on different surfaces. I think they do great on both but overall I prefer to wear these shoes out on the road instead of on the treadmill.

Overall, I love the ULTRABOOST X and think they will make a great addition to my every day trainers. They will definitely be added into my rotation!

adidas Warp Knit Tank Top

Over the years I’ve collected quite the number of running tank tops, because let’s face it you really can’t have TOO many!

The adidas Warp Knit Tank Top:

  • Climalite fabric sweeps sweat away from your skin
  • Wide neckline
  • Integrated stretch and ventilation zones for comfort
  • 76% nylon/24% elastane seamless

When I first received this top I was surprised at how it felt. The material was thicker than I had imagined. The back of the shirt is see through and provides a good amount of air flow through the material.

The top is tight and fitted to the body and stays in place throughout the run which is nice as I hate having to pull down tops while I run.

The only warning I will give is to size up in the top. I ordered a small which is typically the size I would wear but I think I would have been more comfortable overall in a medium.

Overall, I love the products and adidas has done a great job at creating products that truly meet the needs of runners.
