Are you a snacker like me?
I wish some days I could just eat 3 big meals and either feel full enough or get enough in to make up for my running that day, but most of the days that doesn’t happen.
After having Easton I found that even more impossible because most days I would have to eat when I could and sometimes that didn’t always line up with the “ideal” way.
Instead of stressing myself out about it or trying to always get huge meals in, I just told myself the most important thing I could do was fill our house with healthy snacks that would allow me to snack on quality foods and get in enough calories to fuel my running each day.
Sometimes I think I run so much just to make sure I can keep snacking. I LOVE my snacks!
I’ve gone through different phases with what my favorite snacks are, but most of them end up being something that is quick, easy, and that I can take on the go.
There are many days where I end up eating in the car or while I am running around the house trying to shower, get laundry done, and finish up some last minute work before Easton wakes up from his nap.
It’s also important in our house to have snacks that BOTH of us enjoy because then I know Wes is eating well too and he can grab some snacks on the way out the door in the morning and have them throughout the day. Most every day he works through lunch so having quick foods on hand are key to being able to sustain 110-120 mile weeks.
