Running and Pregnancy
My journey of running through my first pregnancy.
It is important to note that I am not a physician and everything I am sharing is my personal experience. Please consult your Doctor before doing anything new. I discussed my running with my OBGYN at my first appointment and she was very encouraging of it.
When I first found out I was pregnant I immediately took to the internet to read as much as I could about pregnancy and running (of course!) I was surprised that I couldn’t find many people who really shared their running during pregnancy, or really much information at all about it. I made a decision right there to document my running during pregnancy and share as much as I could from start to finish.
That being said, you can find all the posts I did on the topic below along with my week by week (starting at week 14) running recaps. If you have any questions, you can always reach out to me via email at runningwifesara{at}gmail{dot}com.
Easton’s Birth Story {Part 2}
In case you missed it, you can find Part 1 of Easton's Birth Story here. Here is a look into part 2 of Easton's Birth Story: When we left off last I had just had my pitocin administered just before 7:00 AM. I knew things were going to pick up quickly, so I tried to...
Easton’s Birth Story {Part 1}
The day Easton was put in my arms, my whole word changed. It was a day full of excitement, fear, joy, love, and many more. However; with every beautiful ending there is a beginning. I want to share every detail from the day my whole world changed, so I am going to...
Welcome to the World Easton!
We are so excited to announce that at 39 weeks and 3 days we welcomed our sweet baby boy into this world! (If you follow me on Instagram you already know because I was just too excited to wait to share). We would like to introduce you to the piece that makes our...
38 Weeks Pregnant: No Running but Loving Life
Each time I write these now I’ll be wondering which one will be my last pregnancy update. There were many bets taken at Thanksgiving on when our little boy will arrive. Personally, I think he’s going to keep cooking until at least 40 weeks, but he could surprise us...
Running and Pregnancy: 37 Weeks
This will be the first week where there is no running mileage included. To be honest, it hasn’t been easy. I miss my sweat, I miss my stress release, but I know my body is thanking me in so many ways. I’ve been able to get a lot more done this week and also been able...
Running and Pregnancy: 36 Weeks
It's hard to believe that I'm already reporting to you all on my recap of running and pregnancy at 36 weeks! As you all know things changed for me this week. It was a hard week both mentally and physically and while I wish it hadn't turned out the way it did, there...
Running and Pregnancy: 35 Weeks
As my husband was leaving for work on Friday he said “can you believe he could be here in a month?” I knew it was happening but that really hit it home for me. One month. I can remember being in my first and second trimesters and thinking the time would never pass....
Running and Pregnancy: 34 Weeks
The countdown is real now folks. I am ending 34 weeks which means on Monday I will only have 5 weeks until my due date. 5 weeks! We are making progress and slowly getting things where they need to be. My husband started working longer hours this week (which will end...
Running and Pregnancy: 33 Weeks
It’s hard to believe that I started these weekly recaps when I was 14 weeks pregnant. The idea of actually having our little boy seemed so far away. Now I am 33 weeks and the time is quickly approaching. I truly understand what others have said when they talk about...
Running and Pregnancy: 32 Weeks
Week 32 was a tough one. Nothing was really out of the ordinary but I think the drive back from Chicago on Monday really wiped me out. We got in a great run before we left but then sat in the car for 12 long hours and by the time I got home, got unpacked, and cleaned...
Running and Pregnancy: 31 Weeks
If you are interest in tracking my hubby today as he runs the Chicago Marathon his bib # is 359! As of Monday we will officially 8 weeks form meeting our little man (assuming he comes on time). I just can’t get over how close yet far away it feels all at the same...
Running and Pregnancy: 30 Weeks
Week 30 is almost complete! It’s hard to believe that we really are on the final countdown now. It’s been a pretty exhausting week between just the normal pregnancy exhaustion and work. The end of a quarter is always a rough time at work, and for some reason it...
